Draft Dodger

November 22, 2010 Lauren & Derek

When we lived in Brooklyn, our front door had  a large gap under it, that our landlord suggested we remedy by making a "door salami". So we fashioned a long pillow out of brown corduroy, filled it with a couple bags of lentils to weigh it down, and tried to stay warm all winter long.

Now that we have these "draft snake" kits in the shoppe, I'm tempted to make another one, just to use as a pillow! The kit comes with printed fabric, stuffing, a set of paints to customize and color your snake, a pre-cut felt tongue, and a needle & thread. Best of all, it's a collaboration between two awesomely crafty Canadian companies, Banquet Atelier and Collage Collage. Check them out!! Draft snake kit available here, in our online shoppe.
